Peptide Reconstitution Guide
All Clav stack compounds are supplied as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder and require reconstitution before use in research protocols.
What You Need
- Lyophilized peptide vial
- Bacteriostatic Water (BAC water) — 0.9% benzyl alcohol
- Insulin syringe or reconstitution needle
- Alcohol swabs
Reconstitution Procedure
- Allow peptide vial to reach room temperature (10-15 min)
- Wipe both the peptide vial top and BAC water vial top with alcohol swabs
- Draw the desired volume of BAC water into the syringe
- Insert needle into peptide vial at an angle
- Slowly inject BAC water down the side of the vial wall — not directly onto the powder
- Gently swirl (do NOT shake) until powder fully dissolves
- Solution should be clear and colorless (slight yellow is normal for some peptides)
- Label vial with: compound name, concentration, reconstitution date
- Store at 2-8°C (refrigerator)

| Epithalon | 50mg | 10mL | 5mg/mL | Storage After Reconstitution | Condition | Duration | Notes |
| 2-8°C (refrigerator) | 4-6 weeks | Standard post-reconstitution |
| -20°C (single-use aliquots) | 3-6 months | Freeze in individual-dose amounts |
| Room temperature | Not recommended | Degrades rapidly |
Important storage notes:
- Keep away from light — use amber vials or wrap in foil if not using immediately
- BAC water's benzyl alcohol preservative allows multi-draw use for up to 28 days
- If solution becomes cloudy or discolored, discard
Why BAC Water (Not Regular Sterile Water)
Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. This allows multiple draws from the same vial over 28 days while maintaining sterility. Regular sterile water (without benzyl alcohol) is single-use only — after the first draw, contamination risk increases rapidly.
